Prepaid Reservation Terms and Conditions:Your card will be charged for the total cost of this reservation when you reserve your car.
Prepaid terms and Conditions
- The credit/debit card used to reserve the pay now rate must be in the renter's name and must be provided to NextCar at the time of rental. The name on the credit card must match the driver's name.
- At the time of rental, you MUST produce the same credit card you paid online and valid driver's license in your name.
- Your card will be charged for the total cost of this reservation when you reserve your car. The security deposit for the vehicle will be charged when you pick up the vehicle.
- PREPAID debit cards are not accepted at this location. (NetSpend, Bluebird, AMEX Serve,Chase Liquid, Movo, RushCard, etc) We gladly accept bank issued debit cards.

- We require insurance verification as part of the rental process. Your insurance must be paid in advance for 30 days beyond the pick up date of the vehicle, with a deductible of 500 or less. See our complete rental requirements here for more information.

The minimum age is 23 for all car groups and maximum age is 70 for all car groups. Underage surcharge of $10 per day will apply to all renters and additional drivers under the age of 23. Additional driver fee is $12 per day.AFTER HOURS RETURN

Collision Damage Waiver (CDW / Loss Damage Waiver — LDW)
Collision Damage Waiver (CDW), also referred to as Loss Collision Waiver (LCW), is a mandatory protection for all rentals unless properly declined as described below.
CDW/LCW reduces the renter’s financial responsibility in the event of damage or loss to the rental vehicle. In the case of an accident or damage, the renter will be responsible only for the applicable deductible amount as stated in the rental agreement.
The daily cost of CDW/LCW varies based on vehicle category, model, rental duration, seasonal demand, and other underwriting factors. CDW/LCW rates generally range between $25.00 USD and $50.00 USD per rental day.
Renters may decline CDW/LCW only by:
Presenting written proof of valid collision coverage through a credit card benefit or insurance policy covering the rented vehicle in Costa Rica for the full rental period, including coverage limits and effective dates; and
Leaving a refundable security deposit of $3,000.00 USD.
Third-party insurance policies and most credit card coverages reimburse renters for damages after payment has been made. All damages must be paid by the renter in full prior to leaving Costa Rica. The renter may then seek reimbursement directly from their coverage provider.
If CDW/LCW is accepted, the required security deposit will be $1,800.00 USD, subject to vehicle type.

A renter, additional renter, or authorized additional driver who is a resident of the United States, must present at the time of rental a driver's license issued by any state, territory or possession of the United States that is valid for the entire rental period. Valid driver's license from country of residence and passport are required. International driving license is required only for countries with non-Roman alphabet, Temporary drivers license is not accepted. Any other license that the renter might present will be evaluated at the counter when picking up the car.

To qualify to rent a NextCar vehicle, the renter, additional renter, or authorized additional driver must present at the time of rental a payment card (credit, or debit card is accepted) in each individual’s own name with the required available funds. The name and signature on the driver’s license and payment card must be the same. Eligible payment cards are American Express, Discover, MasterCard or Visa. (NextCar does not accept the small “key ring” payment cards issued by these companies.) For the deposit you will be required to present a credit card for the hold. Debit card not accepted for the hold.OTHER POLICIES
For the convenience and safety of customers traveling with young children, we offer child car seats for rent at a rate of $5.00 per day.
